      Toyota Land Cruiser 200 launched in India at Rs. 1.29 crore

      Toyota has launched the updated version of its premium luxury SUV – Land Cruiser 200 – at Rs. 1.29 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The facelifted model hosts a number of exterior and interior updates along with additional safety equipment. The vehicle comes with a warranty of three years/ 100,000kms, whichever comes earlier.

      On the front fascia, the updated model gets a larger three-slat chrome grille, new headlights with LED lamps, revised front bumper and fog lamps. The bonnet, too, has been revised with dual power bulges, adding more to its masculine appeal. Though, the side profile remains unchanged. At the rear, the car gets new tail-lamps clusters with LED elements and chrome garnish across the split hatch.

      Inside the cabin, the vehicle receives a new instrument cluster with a larger multi-information display, redesigned centre console with chrome surround air-con vents, a large infotainment screen and recessed buttons, redesigned dashboard and new steering wheel. The third seat row gets a centre headrest for an additional occupant. The updated Land Cruiser 200 also comes with multi terrain monitor cameras, LED illuminated entry system and tyre pressure monitoring system.

      The SUV’s updated model is being made available in two new exterior paint options – Dark Blue Mica and Copper Brown - along with the regular eight shades – Beige Mica Metallic, Grey Metallic, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super White, Dark Red Mica Metallic, Silver Metallic, Attitude Black and Black. Similarly, the interior gets two new colour themes – Flaxen and Brown.

      Powering the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 facelift is the same 4.5-litre V8 twin-turbo diesel engine that did duty to the previous model. It churns out a maximum power of 281bhp, while yielding a peak torque of 650Nm. Transmitting power to the all-four wheels is a six-speed automatic gearbox.
