Tesla Model 3 with mid-range battery pack has been introduced on its website for a price of $45,000 (approx Rs 33.05 lakhs). However, the electric car is expected to cost much lower at about $35,000 (approx. 25.71 lakhs) with the federal and state tax rebates which are likely to be offered soon. The vehicle will offer a driving range of 260 miles, which is about 50 miles lesser than the long-range battery variant.
Although the company had promised a base variant for $35,000, the company has only produced a high-cost version which starts at $49,000. The company has also reportedly confirmed that it will not be manufacturing a base-level variant of the Model 3 this year and will only arrive sometime in 2019. More details about the vehicle will be known at a later date.
