This is a digitally rendered image of the BMW M2 CSL, a car that has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring on a few occasions. Power for this iteration of the M2 is slated to be sourced from the same 3.0-litre turbocharged motor, albeit in a different state of tune. With about 410bhp on tap, all that power will be laid down on the road through a seven-speed dual-clutch or a six-speed manual transmission.

The increment in performance seems significant when you take into account that the regular M2’s power output is 365bhp. While the regular version can do the run to 100kmph in 4sec, the M2 CSL, on the other hand, will be expected to better that figure by a fair margin. On the looks front, the styling is expected to be similar to the M4 GTS. Especially when you take into account the sharp air-dams, the bright orange alloys, a shade of grey paint and the huge wing. BMW has been on a high of late, and has been working hard on spicing-up its entire ‘M’ range.
