Mahindra Renault Logan, sold as Renault Dacia in Europe, is one of the company's most successful models in the region although it still remains a doubtful attempt in India. The model recently completed an important milestone when the Romanian production facility rolled out the one-millionth unit. It was the white coloured entry level model powered by 1.2L petrol engine producing 72bhp.
Dacia further reported increased sales on the local market but on the European markets also Dacia is still ranking well, the most profitable market being the French one. Dacia recently announced that the Logan is on the sixth place in Russia at sales.
In India, Mahindra has started selling the model under its own brand name but it still needs to re-introduce the model with a new vigour. However, the sedan has definitely shown a considerable rise in its sales figures in past few months owing to new marketing strategy and strong sales efforts. Mahindra's Logan sedan has boosted the sales of Mahindra. Last year, during August, only 469 units of Logan car was sold. But, this year, Mahindra sold 801 units delivering a 70.79 percent increase.
