Italian automaker Fiat will introduce the refreshed Fiat Punto Evo in the Indian car market tomorrow. The company has already dispatched the new Punto dealerships for customer previews. The thoroughly modified Punto hatchback looks aggressive and is loaded with high end features.
The Fiat Punto gets an aggressive front fascia with new larger grille. It has a single bar of chrome which is complemented by sweptback headlamps. The new bumper features wide air dam and new fog lamp assembly with large chrome surrounds. Wheel arches have been fitted to newly design multi-spoke alloys while the door handles gets chrome inserts. At the back, the vehicle has restyled tail lamps and bumper with chrome inserts.
The Fiat Punto Evo will come in seven variants in three engine options. It will be offered in four trim levels- Active, Dynamic, Emotion and Sport. The base variant is equipped ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, follow-me-home headlights and 14-inch steering wheels. It also gets automatic door locks, power steering, air conditioning, etc. The mid-level Dynamic variant features Anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, height adjustable driver’s seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs and audio system with USB and AUX connectivity.
The top-end model gets dual airbags, chrome door handles, fog lamps, rear window wiper and washer, leather wrapped steering wheel, 15-inch alloys and others. It also gets steering mounted controls, climate control and rear AC vents. The 90bhp Punto Evo Sport gets all the features that are accessible in the Emotion variant. However, it has an all-black treatment to the dashboard and 16-inch alloy wheels.
The Punto Evo petrol is offered with two engine options- 67bhp, 1.2-litre and 90bhp, 1.4-litre. The oil burner is the tried and trusted 1.3-litre multi-jet engine. All the variants get 185mm of ground clearance; however, the 1.2-litre variant gets 195mm of ground clearance.
