      Mitsubishi launches Lancer Evolution Final Edition in North America

      The Lancer sedan from Mitsubishi has been a popular choice across the global market. Though the vehicle has been discontinued in India, it still finds a place in the garage of a true car fan. This time around the global automaker has announced the launch of Lancer Evolution Final Edition in North America. However, only a limited number of interested customers may get a chance to own one as the company shall produce only about 1,600 units.

      Under the hood, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition gets a 2.0L MIVEC DOHC 16-valve, inline 4-cylinder engine mated to five-speed manual gearbox that generates a massive 300bhp at 6,500rpm and 414nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The vehicle gets an all-wheel drive system with three drive modes – gravel, snow and tarmac. The sedan also gets a 50:50 torque split between the front and rear wheels owing to Active Yaw Control (AYC) and an active centre differential. As for safety, the vehicle gets ABS with EBD, traction control logic (TRL), seven airbags, active stability control (ASC) and active yaw control (AYC).

      On the exterior, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition gets gloss black centre bumper and hood air outlet, Final Edition badge, dark chrome alloy wheels, black painted aluminium roof and dark chrome front grille surround. The vehicle also gets auto On/Off bi-xenon HID headlights. On the inside it gets red stitch accents that can be seen on the sports seats, shift knob, floor mats, console lid, shift knob and handbrake lever. Moreover, the instrument display also gets Final Edition animation on it. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition is available in interesting shades of octane blue, rally red, mercury grey and pearl white.
