The MG Comet small EV will be launched in India next month. The car will be MG’s fifth model for India and their second EV to be locally assembled here. It is an Indianised version of the Indonesian market Wuling Air EV and will be sold in India in a long-range guise only.
The India-spec car is expected to be powered by a 26.7kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 300km. MG has already confirmed that it will be offered in five paint schemes. However, there’s no word on multiple interior paint schemes. Features on the top-spec model are expected to include power windows and mirrors, climate control and a digital instrument cluster. We expect MG to price the car in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. It will be a rival for the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.
