Amidst much fanfare and celebration, the company launched its B-Class Sports Tourer on September 18, 2012, of which 3,000 units were pre-booked. After being humbled by the tremendous response, Mercedes-Benz India is aiming to cash on the prevalent fervid sentiments of the domestic buyers.

The specifications and intimate details of the yet-to-be launched special edition cars are scarce at the moment, but given the 'Sport' suffix, the new arrivals are expected to win the crowds of both luxury and sporty vehicle lovers. The upcoming models are believed to feature a similar AMG Sports package, like the one installed in the Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG Performance Special Edition, which was introduced in the Indian market in June 2012.

The upcoming models from the stables of Mercedes-Benz, the E-Class Sport and S-Class Sport are expected to have all the futuristic trimmings of enticing sports cars, such as superior driving ergonomics, subtle interiors along with vivacious exterior design arches and flaring lines.

Reportedly, the German premium car maker is working towards the unveiling of a revamped version of S-Class at the upcoming 2012 Paris Motor Show, which will be organised from September 29-October 14, 2012. The spy shots of the car have gone viral on the internet and from a first glance and the new S-Class car looked stunning. Further, it will be a while, before the Indian car aficionados can get their hands behind the wheel of Next Generation S-Class and thus, for the time being they may have to remain content with the limited edition S-Class Sport.

Mercedes-Benz lost its pole position in the luxury car segment of Indian market and the new B-Class Sports Tourer is slated as its next volume puller on Indian turf. The launch of S-Class Sport and E-Class Sport can be a good move, keeping in mind that the German auto maker is master in keeping its customers engaged with excitement.
