India’s leading SUV maker is now planning to launch a new premium SUV in the Indian market which is mostly expected in the year 2011. According to recent interview given by Dr. Pawan Goenka, Chief of M&M, the company is working on its new SUV model codenamed W201 which will be a premium SUV model from the company in India.
The new W201 model will be the first monocoque construction and will cater to demands from overseas markets as well apart from being sold in the domestic Indian market. The new SUV will be priced above Rs. 10 lakh and will also be a good option for those who wish to upgrade from Scorpio. The new model will be powered by Mahindra’s mHawk engine and will be available with manual as well as automatic transmission.
