Mahindra has entered the two-wheeler bike segment in India with the launch of its brand new models Mahindra Mojo and Mahindra Stalio. Mahindra Stalio is a 110cc bike priced at Rs. 44,699 that is supported by endorsement from renowned Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. Mahindra Stalio comes with four years manufacturer’s warranty.
On the other hand, premium 390cc Mahindra Mojo is priced at Rs. 1.75 lakh and is touted as the fastest Indian bike. The Mojo features a four-stroke, fuel-injected, single-cylinder and liquid-cooled 292cc powerplant. Double overhead camshafts (DOHC) operate this engine's four valves. Peak power is a healthy 25.8bhp at 8500rpm. Max torque is 2.5kgm at 7000rpm.
"Mojo is the fastest Indian bike. We are now geared to redefine the biking experience in India with a potent blend of technology and innovation," said Anand Mahindra, VC and MD, M&M. “The growth in the automotive segment will come from the rural markets. And Mahindra will be there in all the segments to capitalise on the growth.”
Mahindra Stalio will be available at the retail outlets of Mahindra from first half of October but Mahindra Mojo will be officially launched sometime in early 2011.
