KTM, the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer, loves not only the thunderous and robust automobiles, but also the silent and pollution-free sedan. It had unveiled the ‘E-Speed’, the electric scooter at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Expo. The engineers and designers of KTM had made up their minds regarding the design specifications and the launch period. But recently, it has been rumored that KTM will not deliver this electric fun traveler for its development has stopped for the time being.

Sources mention that the production of E-Speed has been delayed because the designers at KTM need to give it a last minute review on the market opportunities and look over all possibilities to maximize the success of their project. They believe that the scooter is not living up to their expectations like the rest of the bikes in the line-up, in spite of the cool and attractive attire it has.

Engineers from all over the world believe that the design specifications of E-Speed are so good that there are no changes to be made. Powered by 4.36 lithium ion battery, the scooter was designed to propel at a maximum speed of 84 kmph with 14.7 HP (horse power) and 35 Nm of torque. But there is one reason for the KTM to renovate the design of the electric scooter. It is that the ‘E-Speed’ has not fitted into the conventional KTM’s DNA of ‘Ready to race’. If E-Speed is to be released in the near future, it would undergo a complete, solid makeover.
