The Indian market demands value, and Kawasaki has delivered it in spades with the base variant of the Z900, launched today. It removes all the accessories of the Z900 that was launched recently and offers you the riding experience with no distractions at all.
The higher-priced variant offers frame sliders, fork sliders, a tank pad, pillion seat cowl, radiator guard, 12V power socket, carbonfibre finish on the instrument cluster and a visor. These things have been deleted from the Z900 that was launched today. Unfortunately one can't opt for one or two of those options; you can have either all of them, or none.
On the base variant, you still get ABS, and 123bhp from the 948cc, four-cylinder engine. It is available in a combination of green and black paint, or just black. The direct competition for the Z900 is the Triumph Street Triple 765 and the Ducati Monster 797.
