      Isuzu D-Max V-Cross - What to expect?

      Tagged as India’s first ‘Adventure Utility Vehicle’, the five-seater Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is expected to launch later this month. Pre-launch bookings have commenced for a token amount of Rs 50,000. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross can be registered as a private vehicle and is likely to be launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 12.5 lakh (Ex-showroom).

      The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross comes with a four-wheel-drive configuration which is powered by a 2.5-litre Common Rail Fuel Injection Diesel BSIV compliant Engine that generates 132bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. The engine will come mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while the CVT is not expected to come anytime soon. The vehicle gets a shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive knob that allows the driver to switch between two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive mode.

      In terms of design, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross gets twin-barrel projector headlamps and chrome finish on the front grille. The sides feature 16” Alloy Wheels, ORVM with turn side indicator and sporty roof rails. The rear section has an open carriage area for luggage. The overall aggressive design undertones adds a muscular stance to this pick-up truck.

      Inside, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross gets seven-inch touch screen audio system with USB input, DVD, AUX, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control and electro-luminescent meters with MID (Multi Information Display). The vehicle also gets six-way adjustable driver seat for added convenience. In terms of safety, the D-Max V-Cross comes loaded with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and dual airbags.
