      Sources have stated that the Korean car-maker Hyundai may utilize the Russia launched Solaris as the uplifted Verna in India; and earlier it was believed that the new Hyundai Verna may be launched sometime in the year 2015. But fresh reports from sources have indicated a possibility of the vehicle being launched by the end of this year. Pricing aspect is unknown for now, but it is anticipated to be priced somewhere in the range of about Rs. 7.30 – Rs. 11.50. The face-lifted version is expected to compete against the likes of new Honda City and recently launched Ford Fiesta in the country.

      Hyundai Verna has been a popular pick in the country. The Korean carmaker Hyundai had recently launched Solaris for the Russian market at an attractive starting price tag of about 4,73,000 Rubles (Rs. 8.26 lakh). Solaris is stated to be based on Verna's platform that is available in the Indian market. The internationally launched version is powered by the existing Verna's 1.4 Liter and 1.6 Liter petrol engines. The 1.6 Liter variant is also available in automatic transmission apart from the regular five-speed manual transmission.

      The Russia launched Hyundai Solaris has received some styling cues from the new Genesis and Sonata. The new version sports a twin-slat unit complemented by larger headlights with projector lights. The front bumper has been updated to carry new sporty designed fog lamps that feature integrated LED daytime running lamps and wider air-intakes. The rear design has mostly remained unchanged. except for few shall changes in form of redesigned reflectors and black under lip on the bumper.
