      Ford starts production of 2015 Aluminum F-150 today

      Ford Motor Co.’s Dearborn, Mich. is the birth place for the 2015 Aluminum body based F-150 pickup truck. The Ford F-150 is scheduled to arrive at US dealership outlets by next month. Speaking more on the occasion, Ford Motor Company's executive chairman said, “The all-new F-150 continues to advance my great-grandfather’s vision of building vehicles we can be proud of and our customers can depend on.”

      The Dearborn manufacturing facility shut operations for nearly about 2 months to install about 500 robots that shall help in delivering tougher trucks that shall be built using state-of-the-art joining technology. To reduce weight and improve strength, the vehicle has been built using four types of high-strength aluminum alloys. Moreover, Ford has reportedly also added about 850 workers at it Dearborn facility.

      The Ford F-150 is likely to be a success as this pick-up truck has reportedly been through over 10 Million miles of testing, which is indeed way higher than any other Ford's car tested in history. Adding further, Raj Nair, Ford product development chief said, “We recognize this is the most watched launch in the industry. We know the importance of getting the F-150 right.”
