The Fiesta sedan revivified version is said to come with major cosmetic changes in the form of a reworked front facade. The front profile of the sedan is likely to get several changes like broad chrome glutted front grille, reworked fog lamps, restyled bonnet and new pair of angular head lights. Changes are also made at the rear visible in the form of a new bumper with chrome inserts andcladdingsand a newbootlidamong others. Inside the cabin, the American car maker has upped the style and comfort quotient with the inclusion of a refurbished steering wheel, piano black centre console and a high-gloss finish instrument console.

Ford had equipped Fiesta with the best in class features and the new Fiesta is also expected to come embedded with a string of advanced features. Expect the 2014 Fiesta to come loaded with an enhanced SYNC system, App Link, automatic head lamps and wipers along with start/stop button. These features are expected to be made available only on the high end version of the sedan. Engine set up will remain unchanged with the same engines performing duties in the petrol and diesel variants. The 1.5 litre gasoline engine powering the petrol range of Fiesta is capable of producing a top power output of 108Bhpalong with 140Nmtorque. The 1.5 litre dieselpowertrainon the other hand is able to yield 89Bhpand 204Nmtorque. Both the engines will be paired with a five-speed manual transmission, however a six-speed automatic transmission will be offered in the petrol trim.

Ford Fiesta donning the new modish skin and offering best in class features was brought to India in 2011. However, the high pricing play foul and the sedan did not get many takers. An aggressive pricing could rebuild Fiesta’s image in India, though it is too premature to comment on that, only time will unfold the new Fiesta’s fate in India.
