Reportedly, the actor was on his way to a charity event in a red Porsche Carrera GT driven by his friend, which crashed into a light pole after being engulfed in flames. The tragic death of Paul Walker has left a major void in one of the world’s most successful movie franchises, Fast & Furious.
In a statement released on the actor's Facebook page, it was written "It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.''

Fast & Furious series gained prominence worldwide with the gravity defying stunts and high-adrenaline races that were shown in films. The first instalment was released across the globe in 2001 and currently the seventh part is in production, which began in September and it is still not finished.
