Bajaj has constantly delayed the production of the fully faired 200 cc Pulsar, in spite of the fact that there have been a lot of promotions. The fans and potential buyers have been hugely disappointed due to the delay. The reports have been circulated quite a number of times about the launch of this model.
However, Rajiv Bajaj, the head of Bajaj Auto, has confirmed that the new Pulsar will make an entry in to the market within a span of three months. The Pulsar 200SS will be launched within the first quarter, so says the head. Though, he has not taken the name directly, but all hints point to this bike.
The Pulsar400 SS was shown at the Delhi Auto Expo in February 2014. However, when Rajiv Bajaj was asked about this, he did not name a specific bike. Whatever he said had a strong inclination towards the Pulsar 200SS and not the 400SS, definitely. The 200SS has not been officially showcased in the country as of yet, but the entire bike lover population is eagerly waiting the launch of this bike in India.
The Bajaj head also said that the company will try to increase the volume of the model. The current production is around 65000 units a month and it will be increased to 70000 units a month. Incidentally, there are four new Pulsar models in the pipeline waiting for the Indian market. Definitely, a new Pulsar at this time will bolster the market share of the company by a fair margin.
