The fully-faired Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will soon be launched in the Indian market, and so has been hinted by the company some days back. According to the teaser image that has been revealed by the auto maker, the new model is to be called Pulsar RS200, unlike Bajaj 200 SS, which it is called in the global markets. According to the teaser images, this is the fastest Pulsar to be ever built by Bajaj. However, the tag will be short-lived for the new bike as the company is planning to launch the more powerful CS 400 as well as SS 400 models in India under the Pulsar moniker.

An interesting fact about the Pulsar RS200 is that it shares its platform with NS200, while its design is borrowed from the SS400 concept. The bike was unveiled at the 2014 edition of New Delhi Auto Expo. The bike is equipped with a 199.55 cc engine, which will also power the NS200. This engine is capable of producing a maximum power of 23 bhp with peak torque of 18 Nm.

When it comes to the design, the Pulsar RS200 will come with a fuel tank that is similar to NS200. Some features that make it unique are clip-on handlebar, twin-projector headlamp, a small side-slung exhaust, the NS 200 plastic splatter guard and split seat design. The bike is expected to be offered with a price tag of Rs 1.1 lakhs, and will compete against KTM RC200 and Yamaha R15 in the Indian auto market.
