MG 6

Model launch date:

The MG6 was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023, with a launch expected to take place in later 2024.

Variants:

MG has not announced the variant details of the 6 sedan for India. The model is available in three variants, namely Std, Com, and Lux in global markets.

Exterior highlights of the MG6 include a large grille, a fastback roofline, LED DRLs, projector headlamps, chrome inserts for the front and rear bumpers, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out B and C-pillars, a chrome strip on the boot lid, and LED tail lights.

Inside, the MG6 will come equipped with an electric sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, rear AC vents, push button start, and paddle shifters.

Engine, performance and specifications:

Powering the 6 sedan will be a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine developing an output of 170bhp and 250Nm of torque, mated exclusively to a seven-speed DCT automatic unit.

Safety:

MG has not tested the 6 sedan under the NCAP protocols.

Competition:

The MG6 will rival the likes of the Skoda Octavia.
