There is a wide range of hatchback cars in the Indian car market. I wanted to purchase a car belonging to one of the reliable brands. After doing some research and a few test drives, I decided to buy Fiat Palio Stile Multijet. Three major reasons prompted me to buy Fiat Palio Stile Multijet. Its availability in diesel, the engine's performance and a good mileage, are the three main reasons for purchasing Fiat. I have driven around in my Fiat for almost 6 months now and have not faced any difficulties. The Fiat I have purchased is in the carbon black colour. Fiat Palio Stile Multijet 1.3SDX is fitted with a 4 cylinder, DOHC 4 valves, DRDI engine having a displacement of 1248 cc. It generates a decent power of 74 hp at 4000 rpm, whereas the torque is 184 Nm at 2000 rpm. Handling the Fiat Palio Stile is quite effortless and driving in the city during traffic hours becomes quite easy. It also has most of the necessary safety and security features like side impact beams, energy absorbing collapsible steering wheel, anti-submarine seats, child lock on rear doors and fire prevention system. Double crank prevention system, reverse gear lock, rear neck rests and high mounted stop lamp are a few more safety features. This Fiat Palio is according to me one of the better Fiat brands in the market.

You cannot go wrong with a FIAT

You cannot go wrong with a FIAT in terms of driving pleasure safety etc. Service is a thorn in the flesh. I have so far owned a Palio NV , GTX ,Adventure and now SDX. FIAT invented CRDI, Now multijet and Multi air engines which are acclaimed all over the world and all major car makers use FIAT engines. I would always go for good car even though poor service than going for a bad car with Good service.

Palio - A castle on the road!!

One of greatest castle on road, you are safe and feel very comfortable in this Car, I had a Fiat Palio 1.2 ELX. The car is good on every aspect but for Maintainence and Fuel Efficiency, be very very cautious/// people will say what not that they get milage of 13-18-25 and what not.. pls do not beleive:-0 I have never got molage of more than 12 on my car and on AC do not expect anything;-( ,,, I will never say that the car is BAD coz the ride comfort satability etc are unmached but the only thing there is THIS CAR IS NOT MEANT FOR MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE who need to think of fuel efficiency, if you have two other cars and this car would be used for fun rides then its the best hach back sports car.. Engine is superb and Body shell is like a castle. So single car owners pls excuse this one.....

pros: Sturdy built. Driving pleasure & handling. class leading space. More value for money. Looks. cons: Service backup. Interior look & feel. Not so powerful brakes. frequent service centre visits. material quality in interiors.

Palio is a great car!

I own 1.9 lt.Diesel Palio, which is a great car by its strong body,comfortable interior,powerful enegine and a very good average of 12Km/ltr in city/15Km/ltr on highway. Only drawback is immediate pickup and slows down on the climb. i believe this is the the only difference due to Petrol and Diesel.

1 build quality of a c or some d category car 2.good ride quality and fairly good handling 3.class multijet diesel engine. 4.good mileage 13 in city[MADURAI]and18 in highways 5 european brand image disadvantages 1poor gear ratios city drive is not comfortable 2.narrow gap between brake and accelerator 3.noisy fan while idling 4poor resale value 5 poor spares availability

1.Big Boot Space 2. Reliable structure 3. Semi luxurary interior 4. Excellent service if you have direct fiat contacts 5. No harrasment if on long drive.. you 'ill love driving on highway Disadvantages 1. Tata love to care his brand only 2. Low milage/ but regular 3. Spares availability is poor, some times 4. High AC cooling can harm your knee, due to design error 5. Please check whether high speed AC relay is present or not. This can make your can overheat if not fitted.

Plus Point 1.good build(feel safty) 2.good pickup(can leave back,95% car on road) 3.stable on high speed(on highway you can speed up to 130 easliy) 4.best AC in it's class(best for delhi summer) 5.Best aerodynamic body 6.Smooth steering wheel,powerful shocker,breaks. Minus Point 1.FE is 10-11 km without AC I have taken palio in hills also where road was worst or even no road was there but palio was excllent on there.I drove honda city ford icon but driving palio is totally different.

Palio is a great car no doubt , i own 1.2 NV Sport. 1. Mileage compared to other cars : I am getting 12 KM in city with full time AC on, when santro is struggling to get the same. This is pretty OK for the weight of the car and when compared with any car in this segment. 2. Spares and service : Till 6 months back i had the problem of service , spares and inadequate technical knowledge at TATA service centers. This has been changed with the new initiative from Fiat India to train all the personnels working on Fiat cars at there plant in Pune. Now there is dedicated team exclusively for fiat at TATA service centers. Also the process of spare parts distribution changed (I received my break booster within 5 days of ordering.) Had recently met Mr. Ajit Rane who is taking care of technical training and service at Fiat India.

palio is no doubt a good car

palio is no doubt a good car, however the company has discontinued the model currently. and now it will be a big hassle to procure the spares and fiat has a very bad service record, the cars are well built and hardly need to go to the garage however once they go they won;t return the car atleast for a week and aspecially after the TATA Takeover it has gone from bad to worse. i was a FIAT Brand loyal. my first car was Fiat UNO, post which i bought a FIAT Palio 1.2 sport. and the day it went to TATA the problem started and within six months i sold the car, not because of performance but because of pathtic SeRVICE LEVELS. the car is damn damn good, but a gamble to go in for at present.
