Citroen sub-4-metre compact SUV

The French automaker, Citroen’s third model, a compact SUV was recently spied testing the country. Prima facie, the vehicle appears to be an elongated version of the C3 hatchback.  
Visually, as seen in the test mule, the upcoming Citroen compact SUV will get a split headlamp setup, sporty roof rails, and squared wheel arches. Further, the vehicle will get aerodynamic ORVMs with turn indicators on the higher variants. The lower variant will be offered with steel wheels. 
The interior details are likely to be carried forward from the C3. Depending on the variant the vehicle will offer features like a digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, height-adjustable driver seat, and dual-tone interior theme.  
Under the hood, the Citroen compact SUV is expected to be powered by the existing 1.2-litre NA and Turbo petrol engine options. Currently, these engine options are limited to a manual transmission and it is to be seen if the company will introduce an automatic option at the time of launch.  
Post launch, the Citroen compact SUV will compete against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and the Kia Sonet.
