I have owned this car for almost two years now and this car has performed well without any glitches. The car caught my attention owing to its classy and sleek exterior paired up with spacious cabin. The car has a 1.6 litre petrol engine with 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. The car manages to facilitate a favourable fuel economy even with a world class air-conditioning system with automated controls. There are various luxury features that make this car one of the best of its class. Height adjustable driver's seat, power steering and windows, rear armrest, sun-glass holder, electric sunroof, electrically adjustable ORVM and 60/40 split folding rear seats. Optra Magnum does not even lag behind in safety and security measures that make sure a smooth jerk free ride and maximum driver and passenger protection, in case of collision. The exterior of the car has been aerodynamically designed with 5MPH impact proof front and rear bumpers and front fog lamps. Other features include an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and driver side air-bag. To protect the car from theft, it has a remote key-less entry system with a burglar alarm. In a nutshell, the car has been a delight to drive all this time. With optimum engine performance with world class design and superb luxuries, the car is not a disappointment.

I own a OPTRA 1.6 PETROL.And i bought it second hand only. The factors to consider while buying this car would be: Comfort, performance or looks? Comfort wise there is absolutely no doubt that this 1600cc car would be a great one to drive...the maneuver is great and the jerks almost NIL to be felt....Lot of back seat space and a great one to drive for long hours Performance would depend on what is the condition while buying the car and how you would maintain it going forward.Every 5000kms would entail a servicing to be done which would not be cheap considering the service cost of GM cars specially OPTRA.The SPEEDOMETER is a whooping 18k!!!tyres would cost around 3200/- each and normal oil change would cost atleast 3k. LOOKS:Great one....simply stunning as compared to any other car in its category....But LOOKS also KILL...BEWARE My suggestion:Check the car and your after purchase regular maintenance Budget!!!!If you get a car which is say 2006-2007 model in that 4 lacs then go for it.Check the tyres and the history from the workshop. But 4 lacs is a bad bargain for OPTRA....You would get it in the range of 3 to 3.5lacs....mileage is surely a problem but then you would be driving an OPTRA!!One of the best Cars from the GM stable...why worry about the mileage?anyways it would give in between 8-10 kms per litre if driven properly

I conducted a detailed assessment of several sedans belonging to the C+ segment which led me to buy the Chevrolet Optra Magnum LT. It is a beautiful car and has advantages like powerful on-road performance, comfortable space and smooth handling. Chevrolet is very popular around the world and has always manufactured reliable cars. Even though I felt that the price I paid was a little over my budget, the car's performance and features are worth it. The engine incorporated is fuel efficient and gives a mileage of about 21 kmpl on the highway, whereas in the city it provides 17 kmpl. According to me, the car gets full marks for performance, features, comfort and appearance. It's active and passive safety features like dual airbags, ABS (Anti Braking System) and remote keyless entry with burglar alarm make it even more appealing. The Chevrolet Optra Magum has an efficient braking system that ensures smooth driving. The type of suspension system incorporated in the front and rear is McPherson struts with anti-roll bar. The front and rear shock absorbers are twin tube gas filled. The brakes in the front are ventilated discs while rear is discs. All in all, the car is a complete package with all important safety, comfort, interior and exterior features.

I always wanted to own a premium class sedan model that not only aces in catering luxury but also manages to keep the performance and efficiency at an optimum level. A year ago when I test drove Chevrolet Optra Magnum 2.0 LS, I immediately felt inclined to buy the sedan. After thorough research and comparing, I purchased the model almost six months ago and have had the most satisfying experience with the car. Optra Magnum 2.0 LS is the perfect sedan as per my standard as the diesel based engine has a high power performance of 120 bhp, moreover does not compromise on fuel economy as well. Passenger comfort is one aspect to which Chevrolet has given exclusive emphasis to in its Optra Magnum. The ride experience is not only enhanced for the passengers but for the driver as well. My drive quality especially on traffic-prone city roads become quite relaxed owing to features like power steering, automated fuel-lid and tail-gate opening, front cup-holder, electronic tripmeter and cigarette lighter. Vehicle and passenger safety has turned out to be one of the most crucial aspect of a passenger vehicle today. With safety features like central locking , power door locks, child safety locks and anti-theft alarm, I feel completely safe while driving. Moreover, additional safety features include rear seatbelts, seatbelt warning signals and door ajar signals.

Purchasing a sedan has been my dream since a long time, which was fulfilled when I bought the new Chevrolet Optra Magnum 1.6 LT. The strong market reputation of General Motors supported my decision to purchase this master piece. Even though, there are many sedans available in the market at low price but the level of comfort which I enjoy while driving the Chevrolet Optra Magnum 1.6 LT could not be the same. For a 5 member family, it can be called a dream car at affordable price. The vehicle comes with enough legroom and headroom. Small luggage can be carried easily if one needs to travel short distance. Design of this sedan itself speaks of its class as the company has delivered its best effort to craft this master piece. Sleek body graphics make this car look elegant and enhances its external design. It has chrome finished door handles, which matches well with the external body structure. Almond shaped headlights of the car are my favourite and it provides better visibility while driving at night. If power is the need then one must purchase Chevrolet Optra Magnum 1.6 LT as it is loaded with 1598 cc engine. This engine is capable of delivering power of 103 hp and churn torque of 148 Nm, which is quite impressive.

hi my suggestion for you to go for Optra Magnum. its really a class with only 8.5 Lac. u will get every thing in its LS Model. and as in comparioson to the after sales and service its the best with only 3500 rs per service where as vento wil take 8000 rs per service. aand the BHP of vento is 70 only where as optra has 121 BHP with 2000 cc engine. my suggestions is just have a look at Magnum also.

Optra diesel is a great car with great power and torque. the car interiors has been also improved and also added climate control and ABS.The FE is decent and don't expect more than 10 in city like mumbai although u drive diesel engine. It zooms on highways.resale value is low comparatively. However the resale value of diesel cars are always more.U may get higher amount if u sell directly rather going to dealer who breaks and make market to suit themselves. However service may be the issue as service dealer are few . one only in mumbai western area.Otherwise great car.
