Being a SUV lover, I have purchased the Toyota Fortuner, which has provided various off-roading experiences. It has signature grille on which the logo of the company is placed. The electrically foldable ORVMs are body coloured, which enhances the front look of this car. Along with its bold and aggressive appearance, the SUV comes with dynamic styling. Overall length, weight and height of this car are 4705 mm, 1840 mm, and 1850 mm. The wheel base 2750 mm, which creates maximum interior space. It has sufficient legroom and headroom, which provides comfort to the passengers. Some interior features of this car includes gate type shift levers, new audio head unit with Bluetooth and call functions, front and rear armrest, automatic climate control AC and NVH (Noise, Vibrations and Harshness) reduction materials. These features altogether increase the comfort level, whenever I drive the car. The steering wheel of this car is tiltable, which help me manage it conveniently in busy streets. I am a music lover and quite impressed by the music system of this car. It has DVD player with six speakers, which delivers superb sound. The stylist leather covered steering wheel of the car has audio controls on it.

Whats Good
It has all the features in this price budget.it is so comroftable and have lots of space,touchscreen dvd player etc.
What Can Improve
Its interiors somewhat same as that of Innova. All the cars in this budget get atleast 6 airbags but it has only 2 airbags.

Taken Toyota Fortuner Testdrive in Pune

1. TD taken in Pune Positive - -Build quality is good -Design is subjective (People would love or hate the rugged look) -Rear ac vents -I have not driven it offroad but going by the way it goes over Pune potholes it is good. Negatives - -Noise, vibration comes through to the gear box, can you believe it? a toyota gear knob vibrating. -Drum brakes (give me a brake toyota) -No EBD -No Power seats -No Parking controls (i mean this is a huge car not easy to park) -All parts on the dash look like the Innova, seriously. If you come out of a innova and get into the fortuner you wont feel much difference - 3rd row seating is like a prison I have also driven the Captiva (which my boss owns) and feel the the Chevy is much better in terms of value proposition. The only drawback is that the manual one is not a AWD and its more of a soft roader, however it does take on the potholes in stride just like the fortuner. I have done a lot of mumbai pune trips and the captiva is way too good even at speeds upwards of 140 the captiva feels planted and raring to go even faster. The noise levels in the cabin are absolutely zero. The same cannot be said about the fortuner, at higher speeds the noise levels are very audible. Not acceptable from brand toyota. I am no expert in cars but whatever knowledge I have I am sharing it with you. Ashu

Whats Good
Those big 17 inches alloy wheels High seating position Low cost maintenance Very direct steering wheel Power is delivered right from the 1400 RPM mark up to the 3400 RPM mark. The D-4D 3.0 litre engine has been the best from Toyota which gives about 171 Bhp of power and 343 Nm of torque. Like it is said, you can have a Fortuner in any colour as long as its White.
What Can Improve
The glove compartment is really small and needs attention by the manufacturers. The same old climate control buttons look a bit old now and needs a change. The large turning radius of this SUV makes it extremely difficult while taking u-turns. The rising prices of the fortuner can be a issue. Initially it was launched at about 21 lacs and now after 5 years the cost has gone to up to 30 lacs with no such big changes in the SUV. It should definitely be equipped with more features like rain sensing wipers, hill assist, telescopic steering wheel, etc. Since 2010, its always been way ahead of its competitors but now it lacks many features and its time it should get a makeover.

Whats Good
Whats not? I am not an expert.....but as an owner i'll review it Everything is good(almost!) Seats, ride quality, looks, safety, engine, built, interiors, space................and the list goes on as the SUV on the roads
What Can Improve
There are no music system controls in the middle row.....hence the chauffer has to be disturbed for controlling...not even a remote control Milage could improve a little....like an average of 14KMPL
Once this car faced an accident....but thanks to its muscular built that nothing happened to us, only the front bumpers broke and got damaged...... I, hence, believe myself to ba fortunate to own a fortuner
