f you are looking for a medium priced Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV)
If you are looking for a medium priced Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) providing all kinds of cabin comfort and excellent driving experience, your search will come to an end with Tata Safari. I have recently purchased the new Tata Safari Dicor 2.2 VTT after comparing variants like Tata Safari VX 4x2, Tata Safari VX 4x4 and Tata Safari GX 4x4. The reason I chose this model was because of its trendy yet sturdy exterior design, luxurious interiors and high quality performance.
The exterior gives a liberating emotion with its bold lines and rebellious essence. The features include a new chrome grille, chrome outer rear view mirrors (ORVMs), a silver sump guard and the silver spare wheel cover. When you enter inside the car, you can find the cabin decorated with new leather cushioned rear seats which gives an overall support.
The comfortable seating of the interiors have features like upright front and rear seat which are appropriately place to cater maximum leg room and head room, proper thigh supporting seats, precisely reclining angle of the seats and lumber support in the front seats. I can also make my ride entertaining with a DVD player, which is placed in the centre console. For rear seated passengers, there are two LCD screens cleverly placed on the rear end of the front seats paired with plug in head phones.
Other cabin features that I find very useful are its power windows operated by single touch control, bottle holders in the middle console, ash tray in front and rear and fold-able arm rests. Tata Safari is well equipped with the standard Heating and Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC) and comes with a separate roof mounted controls for middle and back passengers.
The exterior on the other hand has all the standard features but also comes with a rare utility that comes in very handy at times. Safari Dicor comes with the feature of parking lot car-locator that helps in finding the car in parking lots at night. On the safety front, the car has many additional features apart from the standard Anti-lock Braking System(ABS) with EBD and dual air bags to cushion the driver and passengers during impact.
The additional safety features include collapsible steering column, tilt-able steering column, side impact bars, anti-submarine seats, clear lens fog lamps, front seat belt warnings and door open warning and child safety lock on rear doors and trail gate. In the performance and drive quality department , the car excels with a nice pick up and fuel efficiency of 11.57 km per litre. As a whole, my new Tata Safari is a complete package of excellent ride quality and performance which is teamed with a luxurious cabin and prudent exterior design.
