Jeep Renegade

We expect the Jeep Renegade to be launched in India sometime in 2025.

Exterior:

The Jeep Renegade is styled with the typical Jeep flat bonnet, round headlights, and a vertically slotted seven-box grille. The side has squared wheel arches and a high stance shod with 17-inch alloy wheels. On the whole, the Renegade combines typical Jeep brand styling, all in a smaller city-friendly package.

Interior:

The Renegade comes equipped with different colour seat materials as well as contrast stitching. The Uconnect 6.5 Nav system comes with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, AM/FM radio, AUX/USB media hub for iPod mobile device integration, sensor-assisted GPS, speed-adjusted volume, and GPS navigation. The interior of the Renegade also comes with folding second-row seats offered as either a 60:40 split folding rear bench or a 40:20:40 split folding rear bench with cargo area pass-through. The front passenger seat also folds forward for even more luggage space.

Engine, performance, and specifications:

The India-spec Renegade could be offered with two turbo-diesel engines. The 1.6-litre engine will have 116bhp and more than 300Nm of torque, while the 2.0-litre engine will get 136bhp and torque figure of up to 380Nm. Both engines are mated to six-speed manual transmissions. If Jeep decides to get the 2.0-litre engine with the nine-speed automatic gearbox, the output figures will be 165bhp and around 380Nm.

Variants:

The Jeep Renegade when launched in India could follow the Sport, Limited, Limited (O), Longitude, and Longitude (O) variant nomenclature.

Safety:

The Jeep Renegade has been crash tested at Euro NCAP and scored three-star safety rating.

Competition:

If launched in India, the Jeep Renegade will rival the likes of Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
