Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE Coupe

Summary

Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupé is one of the high-performance SUVs in the GLE line up. It was launched in India in late 2020 and is a successor to the GLE 43 4Matic. This vehicle can go from 0 to 100 in 5.3 seconds. Besides, it comes with a 48V mild-hybrid system that provides additional drive power.

Exterior

The GLE 53 4Matic+ is available in eight paint alternatives - Brilliant Blue, Cavansite Blue, Emerald Green, Mojave Silver, Obsidian Black, Selenite Grey, Polar White and Hyacinth Red. Besides, it gets multibeam LED headlights with URHB at the front while the rear end has adaptive LED taillights. The SUV also comes with some AMG specific trims such as the grille, front and rear bumpers, adaptive performance suspension, 4Matic+, active brake assist, active exhaust system, 21-inch alloy wheels etc.

Interior

The interior has a two-tone colour option with Nappa leather upholstery for the AMG seats and the steering wheel. Additionally, it gets two 12.3-inch MBUX screens - a digital driver display and a central information display that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are also some standard features such as multi-zone climate control, a wireless charging pad, electric-assist for the seats with memory, lumbar and massage functions, a panoramic sunroof, a 13-speaker Burmester surround sound system, 64 colours of ambient lighting etc.

Engine and Transmission

The GLE 53 4Matic+ is available with a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system that makes 429bhp and 520Nm of torque and it is coupled with an AMG Speedshift nine-speed automatic transmission.
