Lexus UX 300e

Introduction 
Lexus is testing the waters in India for a BEV and has done this with the UX crossover. If greenlit, it might launch the car here sometime in mid-2023. 
 

Powertrain 
The UX 300e gets a 54.3kWh battery pack and one electric motor mounted on the front axle. It has a  claimed range of 400km and the motor produces 201bhp/300Nm. 
 

Interior, features and price 
Lexus has given the UX a full digital instrument cluster, touchpad-controlled 10.3-inch ultra-wide infotainment system, active sound control, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, two-zone temperature control, 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system. The UX 300e gets numerous safety features, including second-generation Lexus Safety System +, which is a suite of advanced driver assistance systems. The Lexus UX 300e is expected to cost between Rs 75-85 lakh. 
 

Competition 
It rivals the likes of Volvo XC40 Recharge, BMW iX3, and the Mercedes-Benz EQA.
