First pictures of the updated Range Rover has been spotted undergoing cold weather testing. The current Range Rover family received an update back in 2014 and therefore the mid-life refreshment was due for the Range Rover line-up.
The highly camouflaged test mule hides the new headlight and taillight design for the updated Range Rover. The new lighting signature was introduced with the last update, so the new refreshed line-up is most likely to bring the new headlamp and tail lamp design which could also be seen on the upcoming new Range Rover Velar. The front grille and air vents remain untouched, though; while the rear remains the same as well. The test mule cleverly hides the trademark side-gills under the camouflage and is actually riding on the Range Rover Sport’s alloy wheels.
With the update, the Range Rover powertrain could get a new addition along with more driving techs and creature comforts. Though JLR has not revealed any details about the new Range Rover but the mid-life update to the Range Rover is expected to arrive only next year followed by the Range Rover Sport plug-in hybrid in the last quarter of 2018.
