Skoda Enyaq

Skoda’s first production-ready EV is being evaluated for India. This has been confirmed by the automaker who said that EVs and ICE vehicles will co-exist in India in the immediate future. If green-lit, it will be launched in India around 2025.   

The exterior of the Enyaq iV sports a very familiar Skoda design with many similar elements like the profile, the design of the wheels and the shape of the tail lamps. What’s new is the grille which has Skoda’s butterfly shape but in an EV-specific design which will be seen on future models. It is 4.6 meters and with a wheelbase of 2.75 meters making it as long as the current-generation Skoda Octavia.   

The interiors sport a minimalistic design with a layered dashboard, dual digital screens and Skoda’s new design two-spoke steering wheel. The EV nature of this car has meant that Skoda has been able to liberate a lot of space in the cabin thus allowing for greater use of space within. 
The highlights of the dashboard are the two digital screens for the instrument cluster and the infotainment system. Many of the elements used in the cabin will look very familiar like the buttons, steering wheel, dials, climate control interface and even the design of the seats. The India-spec car is expected to get an all-black cabin with silver inserts all over.   

The car that was seen testing in India last year was a top-spec 80X version and gets a 77kWh battery pack, dual motors and an output of 265bhp. We expect that Skoda will offer multiple variants for the Enyaq when it is launched here.
