      Upcoming luxury hatchbacks in 2013

      The calendar year 2013 will stand witness to the launch of a number of luxury vehicles in the country, which would come from the stables of various esteemed car makers. Some of the premium hatchbacks to be launched in the coming year include Mercedes-Benz A-Class, Volvo V40, A3 from the stables of Audi and the all new much awaited BMW 1-Series. We try to have a look at the special features available in these luxury vehicles.

      The 2013 V40 from the stables of Volvo is a modern premium hatchback car, sporting stunning look & feel and laden with a large number of comfort and safety features. The V40 has been provided with fully graphic instrument cluster and personalised layout that adds to the joy of travelling in this car. The all new Volvo V40 has been provided with best in class driving dynamics and several brand new features. The V40 has its interiors designed around people and is laden with luxury throughout its interiors. The hatchback premium V40 would come with a price tag of around Rs. 25 lacs.

      The other much anticipated car in the coming year is Audi A3, which is an attractive car with three doors and Ibis white roof. Rear wings attached to it give it a look similar to that of a motor racing car. The interiors of the Audi A3 are made up of high class material and have been designed to give it a sporty look. The seats are adjustable with comfy cushions and the overall interior is quite spacious. The Audi A3 is likely to come with a number of safety and comfort features as well and is expected to be priced close to Rs. 25 lacs.

      The BMW 1-Series, expected to hit the roads in India by March next year, is a small premium hatchback car packed with a host of comfort and safety features. The all new 2013 1-Series resembles the BMW 3-Series in a number of ways. The 2013 1-Series to be launched in the country is expected to be a 5 door only rear wheel drive that would have efficient dynamics fundamental to BMW. The car is expected to be launched in the country only in four-cylinder options and would be priced between Rs. 20 lacs and Rs. 25 lacs.

      The other luxury car to hit roads next year comes from the stables of the German car maker Mercedes-Benz. The A-Class, which was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show 2012, is expected to make its debut in the country before the end of this fiscal. The third generation 2013 A-Class will sport the traditional hatchback silhouette with a number of changes that provides it a fresh new look. The A-Class would come with LED headlamps coupled with uniquely designed bumpers, which makes the front fascia of the car stunning. The interiors of the all new A-Class are luxurious and have the best in class design. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class is expected to be priced around Rs. 20 lacs.
