Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has announced that the company will be hiking the prices of its line-up with effect from 1 January, 2022. The carmaker has not revealed the quantum of the hike, which will be applicable across the model range.
According to Toyota, the price realignment is necessitated on the back of a sustained increase in input costs including raw materials. We expect the details of the new prices of each model to be announced early next month.
Toyota is not the only car manufacturer in the country to announce a price hike. In the recent past, brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi have also confirmed that prices of each model will be hiked with effect from January 2021.
