What you see in the pictures is the Range Rover Sport Coupé spotted testing at the Nurburgring in Germany. Codenamed L560, this car has been under development alongside the Jaguar F-Pace at some stages and is to have a few similar components.
When launched, this Range Rover Sport Coupé will compete with the BMW X6 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé. Thanks to the camouflage that’s draped on this test car, only the aggressively sloping roofline and squeezed rear section windows can be noted, which give away the Coupé identity.
Sources revealed that the new vehicle could come with a range of diesel and petrol engines from the present line-up. However it is still unclear if the motor from the F-Pace could make it to this model. Rumours also state that the upcoming Sport Coupé could get the all-electric motor that’s currently under development for the I-Pace EV. With the obvious tight overhang at both ends, there is a clear intention that the upcoming Sport Coupé may have acceptable off-road skills through the Terrain Response.
Though there’s not much information currently, the new Sport Coupé is expected to hit the market internationally in 2017.
