Mahindra launched the lifestyle off-roader, Thar in 2020 in India. Since then, the SUV has been popular among the masses for its off-roading capabilities, performance, and stance. Now, the Mahindra Thar has achieved a production milestone of one lakh units in less than 2.5 years.
Currently, the Thar is available in both 4x4 and 4x2 configurations. As for the engines, it gets a 2.2-litre diesel, 2.0-litre petrol, and a new 1.5-litre diesel. Notably, the smaller diesel engine is only offered with the RWD variants. The SUV will soon receive the BS6 Phase 2 update for its powertrain.
