The Citroen C5 Aircross competes with the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and the VW Tiguan. With its current pricing at Rs 36.67 lakh (ex-showroom) for this in the top-spec Shine trim, it most certainly comes across as an expensive choice of the lot. It does not have any variants, or other engine options, and doesn't get AWD, which rivals in its segment offer. But it has strong reasons to be still considered a worthy opponent in this battle of SUVs....

Citroen is a French automobile manufactured with its headquarters located in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, near Paris. It is a part of the Stellantis group that also includes the likes of FCA, Opel, Vauxhall and of course Ferrari. The company has launched its first product in the Indian market, the C5 Aircross SUV in early 2021.
Following the launch of the C5 Aircross, the company is expected to launch another D-SUV (C21) as well as a sub-4 SUV which is currently codenamed the CC21. Citroen has its production facility located in Thiruvallur near Chennai. The company also currently produces powertrains for global use from this facility.
