The Tiguan R-Line is offered in a single variant and a standard equipment kit which includes features like a 15-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone AC, HVAC, heating and massage functions for powered front seats, TPMS, 30-colour ambient lighting, wireless app connect, heads-up display, and Park Assist.

 Safety features include Level 2 ADAS with 21 driver safety and assistance features, front and rear discs, nine airbags, emergency braking, lane change assist, lane keep assist, driver drowsiness detection, Active Cruise Control, and rear traffic alert. It also gets the 4Motion AWD and DCC Pro systems.

 Engine, Performance, Specs

The Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line is powered by a 2.0-litre, TSI EVO petrol engine, tuned to produce 201bhp and 320Nm torque. This setup is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The SUV rides on 19-inch ‘Coventry’ alloys.

 The Tiguan R-Line gets 176mm ground clearance and 652-litre boot, which can be expanded to 1,650 litres. With a tank capacity of 60 litres and a claimed efficiency of 12.58kmpl, the SUV gets a claimed driving range of 754.8km.

The Tiguan R-Line currently faces competition from the newly launched Skoda Kodiaq, BMW X1, BMW iX1 LWB, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Toyota Fortuner Legender, Audi Q3, and the BYD Sealion 7.
