I am proud owner of a Tata Xenon XT 4X4 for more than a year and have thoroughly enjoyed off-roading in this Multi Utility Vehicle

        12/05/2011 13:47:29 | Hem Telgua

I am proud owner of a Tata Xenon XT 4X4 for more than a year and have thoroughly enjoyed off-roading in this Multi Utility Vehicle. Tata Xenon XT 4X4 is powered with a 2.2-litre, 2179cc Direct injection Common Rail (DICOR) diesel engine. With a power packed engine, the vehicle has a maximum power churning capacity of 140 bhp at 4000 rpm and peak torque of 320 Nm at the rate of 1750-2700 rpm. The feature that attracted me towards this vehicle is its aggressive exterior that qualifies for serious off-roading. The hawkish exterior is further accentuated with several features like adjustable headlights, front fog-lights, power adjustable exterior rear view mirror, rear window defogger and more. Towards the interior, Tata Xenon XT 4X4 comprises a wide range of features like air-conditioning system, power windows, remote central locking, manually adjustable driver's seat and folding rear seats. Even in terms of safety the Multi Utility Vehicle is well tended with features like collapsible steering column, anti-glare rear view mirror, door ajar warning signals, engine immobilizer and adjustable 3 point seat and lap belts. For me, Tata Xenon XT 4X4 has proven to be quite favourable for travelling on rough terrains on India. With advanced features, impeccable safety equipment and responsive engine the car delivers in every aspect.

I went for a test drive in Tata Xenon XT

        09/10/2011 11:16:09 | Manav

I went for a test drive in Tata Xenon XT and would assess it as a new lifestyle pickup truck that is perfect for a rural terrain. With this model Tata motors have created a market for truck in the rural economy and will promote others companies to do the same as well. This concept of a lifestyle pickup truck is still new to the Indian market and sports a combination of style and performance. The exterior has a very sturdy and rock sold design and is built to minimise the chances of crash. The exterior has sturdy features like grille, large wrap-around clear lens headlamps and flared fenders . The side indicators on the outside rear view mirror (ORVM) and the roof rails add to the hawkish essence of the car. Coming to the interior, Xenon XT features a number of utilities like power steering, power windows, central locking, air conditioning system and height adjustable seats. There are certain additional features like cigarette lighter, 12V mobile and laptop charging point, roof lamp, engine compartment lamp, coin console, cup holders and latest audio system. I could also find a number of safety equipment for protecting the passengers in case of accidents. These safety measures include child safety locks, seat belt warnings, engine immobilizer and fog lamps. The car has been built keeping multiple factors like comfort, safety and performance in mind. According to me, this model is a mixture of powerful engine and luxury features, that is meant for on-road and off-road drivers.

        Just test drove the xenon

        05/25/2011 17:05:46 | Adit dave

Just test drove the xenon. Looks good. Adequate power with 2.2 dicor. Great presence on road. Can be modded up. The insides suck. Lousy plastics. Prehistoric dash. And the biggest downer...no airbags. These guys have got it all wrong. The price: 11.5 or thereabouts in Delhi .
