I own Indigo of 5 year old

14 years ago | sravan kumar

Iam surprised reading the reviews,I own Indigo of 5 year old and swift (VDI)of 1 1/2 year old. To me my old Indigo was low on initial pick and with A/C on.But my expenditure for maintainance was not high as many of you talked about. Moreover seeing all reviews on net bought Swift diesel,it was definitely better as far as engine is concerned, but there is too much body sounds (especially door noises).Later i had an opportunity driving Indigo cs TDI and Indica vista Multijet. Both the cars has shown good improvement in all the aspects campared with my indigo. It clearly shows that TATA is quite serious about products and their performance. Even experience of service had been good,as good as Maruthi.Yes there are some service centers they do not response well, but it will be same with Maruthi either. Iam waiting for INDIGO vista diesel so that i can sell old indigo and buy new product. Lastly its all depend upon you budget (around 5 lakhs it is good to go for Indigo CS.

Do not buy a indigo e-CS petrol. I had Indigo CS with me for 2 years. I was not at all satified with it's performance and after sale service of Tata. They believe that whomsoever buys Tata car is a taxi owner. The performace of the car was below par. When I wanted to sell Indigo it was really difficult for me to get rid of petrol version everyone website or agent used to tell me there is no resale value for Tata petrol car, however my stars were good that I was able to get rid of that car within 2 months of (the day i decided to sell my car).

Indica and Indigo bonnet is the same and is extremely boring to look at. Some expert told me that it was very aerodynamic. You dont need an aerodynamic shaped bonnet to reduce air friction and thus increase mileage. In any case cars on Indian city roads dont ply at more than 30-40 kmph and all this talk of aerodynamic shapes is rubbish. Look at the bonnet shapes of Volkswagen cars which are so appealing and they too are aerodynamic. Mr Ratan Tata please change the bonnet before your cars go the way of the dinosaurs.

nything which sells and is seen on road always has a reason and is value for money .indigo ecs is a very refined and successful model and it sells ,too many calculations do not lead anywhere ,test drive the vehicles yourself and find the best for you .my advice ,go for indigo ecs a very good car despite many sharmas and misras going against it.

I AM USING INDIGO CS TDI for last one year or so and made no of long drive trips as well, A HINT TO MANUFACTURER NEED to relook the gear box, GEAR RATIOS, THERE IS SHARP LOSS OF POWER FELT WHEN CROSSING A SPEED BREAKER, some times, or rather most of the time one has to use SECOND gear, where as in all other cars, YHIRD GEAR IS GOOD ENOUGH to speed back,

I have purchased CS-LX in Jul/Aug 2009 from Autofin, Bowenpally, Secunderabad. Extremely satisfied with car quality as well dealer. It is giving 14-15 kmpl in city with AC-on. Clocked +18000 km sofar. Tyres (bridgestone) gave problems on the highway drive (Hyderabad-Vijayawada), puncture on side wall, forced to go for replacement. The CS-LX car drive is enjoyable (VFM) on highways. The Tatas are continuouly improving. Hope to see Quadraget engine version of CS
