Very good boot space, comfortable and luxury, nice safety, awesome ride performance, low maintenance engine, good mileage and ground clearance.

I have ambassador of 1959 Model (My father bought this car in 1959). In 2001 I have replace petrol engine and hand gear with NOVA Diesel engine and floor 5 speed gear box. My car is well maintain and is in very good condition. I do have more cars but I always use this car for long journey (300-600 Km) in one day, usually at a speed of 100-120 Km/hr and don't face any trouble. I always feel proud that I am using Very Old Car (56 years old), Made-In-India Car and Indian Road King Car.

Ambassador, if we care good in less maintainance & cost for labour work.we can clear if any damage occur, not need to replace and make new.
What Can ImproveMake improve in engine sound & make shape little attractive
try to make a system to change the tyre without using jacky (A permanent system attached in bottom to lift and after using it should be attach with the body)

Excellent ground clearance, boot space for whole family for holiday tour or shopping, a body guard for the travelers compared to modern cars with same facilities, normal cost of replacement of major/important parts will be much less than modern cars.If your car's battery, harnessing,ignition system etc are good, its a trouble free vehicle. The KSRTC buses, lorries and other cars give due time (respect) while overtaking this vehicle. They take ample time to take overtaking which reduce chance of accidents. From the day to day accidents reports in news papers, the percentage of accidents involved with ambassador cars are very low. This reveals the the security aspect.Steering gear gives very comfortable driving (the vehicle is 1988 model) which gives space to accommodate one more person in the front seat compared to floor gear.
What Can ImproveInterior Appearance, quality of body material (seems to be of poor quality as it is attacked by rust very easily compared to Maruthi or other new generation vehicles with same price), facilities such as ABS, navigation, blue tooth, reverse camera, special edition coil spring suspension version with biggers and wider tyres, etc. Steering gear versions may also be produced.
If one needs safe and comfortable travel in all terrains, rather than high speed rash driving in city roads and national roads only, then this is one the best choice. One who owns will like to love this for the convenience of its multipurpose utility.

- I have always wanted to buy an Ambassador and with the launch of an upgraded BS4 version, I finally purchased it. The new version is definitely far more equipped than the earlier models. The interior has been improved with features such as power windows, rear air-conditioner vents, power jacks for mobile charging and engine check light. However, the exterior of the car may not be acceptable to everyone because of an old age signature look. Personally the car gives a vintage essence and adds a distinct story, while you take it out for a drive. The exterior features all kinds of standardised equipment like rear view mirror, clear lens headlamps, body coloured bumpers and diamond cut tail-lamps. I purchased a lunar silver coloured Ambassador and has amazing innovative colours like jet black, fire brick red, oyster blue, ecru beige and crystal white. One of the best features of Ambassador is its incredible engine performance with 1817cc petrol engine that gives an optimum power output of 71bhp at 4800rpm. Most people avoid this vehicle because of its super old age looks. On the other hand, I find those qualities itself to be the most appealing. Ambassador has maintained its trademark exterior for years and never lost its market share.
- Great car,could be upgraded by HM, given the conditions of roads from rural to metro India. The best vehicle that can accomodate all types of conditions. It has class, cozy, comfort, and room for travelling. Those who still have the 1970 image of ambassdor, please go and test drive this today. A little efforts by HM and the Pround indians ,this car can be the best selling vehicle in the world.
