Whats Good

The Amt Renault Duster. this is work horse, it has many faces like, -Wife's car (new driver). -My everyday beat up car, I m a really rough driver and my busy schedule makes for an unpleasant driving style. But happily the duster takes in everything. -Family run about, it hauls every thing from veggies to equipment and parts. -Business tool, being a contractor as well as a garage owner, the duster comes in very handy, the good ground clearance lets me go to work sites with bad road conditions and ample boot lets me carry everything I need. Decent power calls for a good driving experience, I have updated to 17' alloys and 225/55 sections types and the car handles Wonderful. being able to go over pot holes like nothing exists is also a great relief. so as a overall family car and something to balance work and family life with a bit off added fun. The Renault Duster AMT is a Wonderful choice for me. Having run close to 50000 km I have had not many major issues.

What Can Improve

Interior quality and ergonomics are a let down as that is were we spend most of out time in. Bit more comfortable seats and better bolsters. Audio which came with the car is not to great also.

I have added a BMC replacement filter to the car, which has no major effect but dose give a slightly better top end feel. also recently gave it a good oil treatment. With flush and AMS 5w40 synthetic oil. Car drives very smooth. Major change are the alloys which have dramatically changed the feel of driving the car, (note: adapter hub rings are needed to avoid vibrations when installing alloys).

Whats Good
I have bought Renault Duster RxL Diesel 8 months back. Duster have best in class mileage. Renault claims it around 20 kmpl but I have even received around 21.5 kmpl with maintained engine rpm on highways and in city around 18-19 kmpl. Duster have good seating space. Legroom for second row is so much that you never feel cramped even if person before you slides back his/her seat. Carrying capacity of duster puts a lot further than any hatchbacks. Living in country side I had many occasion of carrying grain bags along with my family, having wide radial Tyre and vast ground clearance and hydraulic steering made ride comfortable on rough village roads. Duster have classy exterior. Bold curves and features like roof trails and front bumper makes you glance her more than once. If you want family car with good carrying capacity, I guess you don't better option than Renault Duster. With Duster you get mileage of hatchbacks , space and looks of SUV. Duster provides best of both class.
What Can Improve
Though Duster is designed for 5+1 capacity if another optional seats are provided with RTOs permission in carrying space , It will attract more people who dropped option Duster due to its seating capacity. Being European Car makers Price is slightly on upper hand. Interior need to be improved by a lot. Being in luxurious car I had alot expectation from Duster but Renault is completely failed for interiors. They need to improve it.
1 star less because of interior and price. But still I will say if you looking for improvement from hatchback to SUV , Duster will surely solve problem. Being highly fuel efficient and Ride comfort will surely make think twice before discarding Duster from buying options. I am satisfied with Duster's performance.

Am happy with its driving comfort, suspension, power and build quality!
What Can Improve
Fuel injector, other electronic complaints, parts value, service problems, noisy doors n wear sounds! Best before 100 k it seems!

Tall claims by the Manufacturer need matching performance

Whats Good
the shape of the car is cool and with so many claims one gets attracted.The shock comes with performance in Hills and indifferent after sales service. The manufacturer has shown luke warm to evasive response.At this rate unlikely to remain favourite with so much competetion in this se ctor.
What Can Improve
The manufacturer need to be selective in choosing their franchise/showrooms.Impart professional training to ealing staff and strenghthen service back up
Their is lack of power while negotiating hills.The Showroom takes you for test Drive in higher power version and evades test drive on 85 psi on the pretext that it has gone out or not avilable at that time amd tries to talk you into believing that there is very little difference in performance. In fact I spoke to people owning 110 psi version and they also opined that the car needs frequent gear change while negotiating Ghat portion and they also felt that more power was required.

What Can Improve
Turbo lag below 1200 Rpm, Interior quality, Telescopic Steering,
I got a mileage of 22.3 kmpl on the Madhurai - Shenkottai route (Via, Rajapalayam) at a maximum speed of 100 Kmph Tips : Never give more acceleration, Avoid maximum gear shifting, Maximum possible steady acceleration,

BOLD AS WELL AS BEAUTIFUL

Whats Good
Duster has a robust appearance and a very bold stance.Amazing combination of stunning looks and ride quality.A very short turning radius.Very supportive driver's seat.Huge boot space and deep glove box.
What Can Improve
Interiors need improvement.Below mark dashboard quality and inconvenient positioning of OVRM controls.Fit and finish below standard.
Duster is certainly the best option at this price range.I love my Duster.
