Premier Rio is a common man's Sports Utility Vehicle in the Indian auto-mobile market. I have owned this car for quite some time and find it a perfect family vehicle as it provides excellent space and driving comfort. The car has maintained a commendable ground clearance and its compact proportions make it manoeuvrable in traffic prone areas.
I own the LX version which comes with simple and to the point exterior equipment such as headlamps levelling device, electric OVRMs, tail-lamps, fog lamps and side claddings. Optimum level of comfort is catered once you are inside the cabin. The car is no BMW, but still manages to impress with durable power steering, manual air-conditioning with heater and an audio system with AM/FM radio.
The best feature for me is the safety equipment that protects passenger during heavy impact. The structure comes along with Anti-lock-Braking System with EBD, 3 point ELR seatbelts with pre-tensioner, side impact beams and brake assist.
Rio has given excellent engine performance and comes through when driving on rough terrains. This is an excellent SUV that does not have a world class image and popularity. The vehicle is perfect for folks looking for a family size car that comes at a reasonable price.
