Pravaig Defy

Pravaig, the Bangalore-based automotive start-up, introduced its first electric car, the Defy, in India on 25 November, 2022. The SUV was showcased in its pre-production form. With bookings already underway, Pravaig will start deliveries of the Defy in Q3 of 2023. 

The Defy stands out with its minimalist design language. The exterior highlights include a completely closed-off fascia, a gentle sloping roofline, an LED light bar at the rear, suicide doors, flush door handles, and 18-inch wheels. Additionally, it measures 4,960mm in length. 

Inside, the cabin gets vegan leather upholstery made from recycled and sustainable materials. In addition, the interior features powered captain seats with a cooling function, a moonroof, PM 2.5 filter, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment, and a sizable driver information display. 

Powering the Defy is a 90kWh battery pack and a dual-electric motor setup that makes 402bhp and 620Nm of torque. The SUV claims to have a range of over 500km. It even promises zero to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds with the top speed rated at 210kmph. With a 160kW DC fast charger, the Defy takes a claimed half an hour to charge from zero to 80 per cent.
