Exterior

The exterior design begins with the bonnet that has the car headlights. The Porsche flyline comprises the sloppy roof of the car that goes smoothly down towards the rear. The perfectly designed side blades of the Porsche Macan are available in carbon color and give a sporty look to the wings of the car and make the proportions of the doors appear narrower. The wheels of the car are available in sizes of up to 21 inches. The S versions have the silver colored brake calipers while the Turbo version has red calipers. The rear part of the car consists of the delicate top, widening as it flows towards the wheel. One feature typical of all Macan versions is that they are all equipped with an automatic powerlift function in the rear hatch. The LED taillights have three-dimensional proportions giving it an attractive look.

Interior

The interior consists of a three tube design. The rev counter is centrally positioned in the front space of the car. The 4.8-inch color screen occupies the place to its right and displays information from the on-board computer. On the left is the ignition lock. The gearshift paddles are manual in operation and enable quick gear changes. Installed in the car is the high-resolution color touch screen. The Macan gives the users the choice to customization. There is a diversified selection of options: choose aluminum or carbon as a theme or decorate with the dark wood walnut, it’s an individual’s choice. Engine and Transmission

It has a 3.0-litre twin- turbo V6 engine that consists of 6 cylinders. The displacement is 2,997 cm³ and the engine power is 250 kW (340 hp); the power at rpm is 5,500-6,500 per minute. The maximum torque is 460Nm and at rpm it is 1,450-5,000.The compression ratio is 9.8:1.The Sports Chrono Package has a Sports Plus Button, which enhances the performance of the engine. The package also includes a stopwatch and the Launch Control function for the fastest possible acceleration. The Porsche Communication Management is also a feature of the car models that display lap times and other driving starts for e.g. on a racetrack.

Performance and Handling

Because of the twin-turbo engine, the top speed of the car rises as high as 254 km/hr, thus making the car sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds.

Braking System

The braking system consists of a six-piston Aluminum Monobloc fixed brake callipers. The brake discs are up to 360mm in diameter, fitted with the front axle and are internally vented. As per the customer’s choice, he/she can have the car equipped with track-proven PCCB i.e. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes. These brake discs are 396mm at the front axle with a thickness of 38mm. The rear brake discs are 370mm in diameter and are 30mm in thickness. This specific feature is Optional for all Macan models.

Mileage

The 2967 cc Diesel - powered variant delivers a fuel economy of 9 kmpl in city and 10 kmpl on highways.

Safety Features

For the brightness of the road to be uniform, the Bi-Xenon headlights of the car just act as the perfect illuminators. The Porsche Dynamic Light System adjusts the range of drenched beams when the car travels at a higher velocity. The LED brake lights begin to pulsate when there is a panic braking. For the driver and the front passenger, full-size airbags have been installed for all Macan models and are supplemented by the Porsche Side Impact Protection system. Side airbags are available for the side compartments. The major safety measure of the braking systems is that the ceramic brake discs are completely resistant to corrosion and even under heavy braking; it maintains the high performance of the car, thus avoiding deformation.
