        DO NOT BUY NISSAN CARS IN INDIA , YOU MAY BE CHEATED . As I bought a Nissan SUNNY car through a GSA of HDFC Bank on 11th oct 2011 (Tuesday) and the Bank's GSA Delivered this car at my home when I was not present. The Bank GSA came to my office and got all the papers signed by me. When I reached home and saw the SUNNY Car it was fitted with Nissan MICRA accessories as the MUDFLAPS and FOOTMATS etc. when tried to contact the Dealer m/s. MALWA MOTORS KARNAL the phone no. was given on Nissan website was FAKE and when tried to contact NISSAN Company the EMAIL ADDRESS of the Nissan India company is FAKE and you do not even find any contact no. for the NISSAN company even worldwide websites. Anyhow when contacted the dealer m/s. MALWA MOTORS KARNAL, they say the company is giving the cars like this only. Is it true that the Company could not complete the car and selling it in a hurry?and when called company's customers care ( a call centre ) they promised to check the problem and promised to rectify the same in 72 hrs. but found no response as yet. If the DEALER m/s. MALWA MOTORS KARNAL is a cheater or the NISSAN COMPANY? but in any case it spoils the name of the NISSAN.

        MY NISSAN SUNNY XE CAUGHT FIRE DUE TO INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT WHILE IT WAS PARKED IN SOCIETY PREMISES ON 23 MAY,2012 AROUND 7.30 PM. GUYZ... AM NOT WRITING THIS TO REVIEW THIS CAR AS BAD... IT IS MY MOST LOVED POSSESSION.. AM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT I HAVE FACED THE TRUTH OF NISSAN AS BRAND... THIS WAS AN UNFORTUNATE HAPPENING WHICH CAN HAPPEN TO ANY CAR... BUT AFTER THE SALES ITS THE AFTER SALES SERVICE OF A COMPANY WHICH MAKES THE DIFFERENCE WHEN THEY HANDLE SUCH CASES.. MY CAR WAS PARKED IN SOCIETY PREMISES, AND AROUND 7.30 IN EVENING FRONT TWO TIRES CAUGHT FIRE... THE REAR END WAS NOT DAMAGED... THE CAR WAS NOT ON, ONLY THE CENTRAL LOCKING SENSOR WAS ON.. AND CENTRAL LOCKING WAS COMPANY FITTED... THEY DO NOT WANT TO ADMIT THAT A PARKED CAR CAN CATCH FIRE FROM INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT.. GIVING ME ALL THE EXCUSES THAT OUR ENGINEERS HAVE CHECKED IT THOROUGHLY AND WE DIDNT FIND ANY FAULTY WIRE... I MEAN THIS IS DISGUSTING.. EITHER GIVE ME A REASON OF THE FIRE OR JUST ACCEPT YOUR FAULT... THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT ITS A CASE OF EXTERNAL FIRE WHICH STARTED OUT FROM TIRES.. I ASKED THEM HAVE YOU FOUND ANY INFLAMMABLE SUBSTANCE ANYWHERE ON TIRES.. THEY SAID NO ... I ASKED THEM WHETHER ITS BECAUSE OF THE HEAT.. THEY SAID NO.. I MEAN GIVE ME A GODDAMMN ANSWER... AND THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING ANY ANSWER.. THEY ARE PLAYING IT SAFE... NISSAN AS COMPANY HAS FAILED APART IN HANDLING AS BIG AS THIS ISSUE IN WHICH THEIR OWN PRODUCT CATCHES FIRE DUE TO SHORT CIRCUIT... THERE AND THEN I CALLED NISSAN CARE ROAD ASSISTANCE AND AFTER 2 HRS.. THEY SEND ME A TECHNICIAN WHO EXAMINED THE CAR AND SAID SIR IT WAS DUE TO A SHORT CIRCUIT BUT HE DIDNT GIVE ME ANYTHING IN WRITING.. AND MY CAR WAS TOWED TO SKY NISSAN CENTER.. MY PROBLEMS WERE NOT FINISHED THERE... AFTER 3-4 DAYS A TEAM FROM NISSAN CAME FROM CHANDIGARH TO EXAMINE THE CAR AND THOSE NERDS STATED THAT THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED DUE TO ANY POSSIBLE INTERNAL FAILURE... THEY SAID IN THEIR WORDS.. " WE CAN'T TELL YOU HOW THIS CAR CAUGHT FIRE, BUT IT WAS NOT AN INTERNAL SHORT CIRCUIT" ... THEY CHECKED THE SOIL OF THE PLACE WHERE IT WAS PARKED.. FOUND NOTHING.. THEY CHECKED FRONT TWO TIRES.. COULD NOT FIND ANY INFLAMMABLE SUBSTANCE.. THEY WERE SO BUSY IN HIDING THEIR FAULT THAT THEY DIDNT EVEN BOTHERED ABOUT THEIR CONSUMER... HOW CAN THEY DO TO A CUSTOMER WHO HAD PUT SO MUCH FAITH IN THEIR COMPANY EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NEW IN INDIA... THEY HAVE NOT HELPED US AT ALL, NOT EVEN ONCE... THEY DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT A CAR MEANS TO A MIDDLE CLASS FAMILY... THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT IN THEIR HANDBOOK.. AND SPARE ME GUYS.. AM NOT WRITING THIS JUST BECAUSE I HAD A BAD TIME WITH NISSAN.. I MEAN THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE... AM THINKING MINE IS THE FIRST CASE FOR NISSAN.. ALL YOU NISSAN OWNERS AND THOSE WHO ARE THINKING OF BUYING A NISSAN JUST THINK..WHAT IF SOMETHING OF THIS LEVEL HAPPENS TO YOU... I DONT HAVE WORDS TO MENTION THE MENTAL TRAUMA THROUGH WHICH ME AND MY FAMILY ARE GOING... FINALLY WE HAVE LODGED A COMPLAINT IN CONSUMER COURT.. AND WE WILL SEEK JUSTICE FROM COURT... I HAVE LOST MY FAITH IN NISSAN DEALERSHIPS AND MOREOVER IN NISSAN... ANY SUGGESTIONS.. ANY QUERIES WILL BE MOST WELCOMED...         Thanks shiv. Just made my decision after giving booking cheque of 50000, I cancelled sunny booking. Sunny stands nowhere near my punto with respect to road behaviour after a short test drive. And our family didnt believe the extra space is really usefull. Sunny engine was very powerful, light on steering, good NVH but the brakes are bad with very evident body roll. All in all I am very happy with the decision made before 2years - the grande punto and its not allowing me to upgrade to any other car- getting addicted to it. Is the punto really that good or its just my addiction? What other car can I look at with better space and driveability? (puntos space is not bad but feel like changing to a sedan or SUV with good mileage). Yeti is too pricey and noisy and very less under thigh support for.rear passenger. vento and rapid are not my type. Verna bad waiting period and a bit cramped.rear seats.

        Hi Maherendeep, SEP 11 and sunny diesel ??? guess you are predicting the car by then, but on 19th JAN i actually got delivery of the same, SUNNY DIESEL XV, 9.8 lac on road with NIL DEP Insurance and up to 60 K for missing intelligent key. Talking about Interiors it's really impressive compared to VENTO, in line with RAPID, MANZA is out of question and SX4 is DATED ONE, ALL the features are just great and after 6 months of survey of cars i found that this CAAAAR has most of the features you can have below 10 Lac car. Talking about ENGINE it's 1461 CC 85 BHP engine gives good mileage my dashboard computer shows 23.5 after first 700 KM ride ( mostly on Highways ). (( I WONDER HOW IS IT POSSIBLE AS ARAI mileage for this car is 21.6 )) BUT the ride is comfortable and my children loved the BACK SEAT PLAY GROUND THEY GOT, and yes back seat comfort fan is really helpful as it blows the cold air like anything, Pick up is good and do not need to downshift very often (( need to use 1st only if you are motion less )) Intelligent KEY is fun and Start button is great feature, Talking about Exteriors i like the FRONT very much, It's BOLD like SX 4, and overall it's different then others second in class undoubtedly first is VERNA but again the 8-10 months wait and more then 11.5 LAC price makes giving a second thought, sunny got everything that VERNA has except 120 PS power, but 85 PS and 200 nm torque is more then enough for overtaking on highways as well as in traffic . Rest in few days as i am supposed to change oil at first 1000 KM. then 10 K, 20 K, 30 K onward

        I bought a Nissan Sunny XV and the engine shut down twice which creeps me out every time. I've had issues with the push start ignition which the service station is unable to identify. The dealer Ichibaan Nissan is pathetic not only cuz of the problems I faced while buying the car but also for its after sales service. The company is now making me run from one place to another to get this problem sorted. I still haven't received the accessories I paid for a month ago and they don't have spare parts either. I don't know how long will my car last. Hope the service guys are able to identify why the engine shuts down cuz they have admitted that there are 2 other people with the same problem and that they have escalated the same. Overall, its been less than a month? and Nissan Sunny is absolutely pathetic!! I just want people to know about this so that they also don't get duped like me!

        Well my friend I think you must go with the New Nissan Sunny as it is same priced and even much better car then all these that you have mentioned and it is loaded with features completely . Its XE model has following features :- Nissan Sunny is not just a car. It's caaaaaar. Quite true to a certain extent as the sedan is quite spacious. It is powered by a 1498 cc petrol engine delivering 99 Ps power at 6,000 rpm and 134 Nm torque at 4000 rpm and the engine is coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission. These specs are common to all three variants. The area where difference lies is wheels, weight, exteriors, interiors and safety options. This is the base variant of the car with 14*5.5J wheel size made of steel. Even the tyre size is 185/70 R14. The total kerb weight of the XE variant is 998 kg and is certainly the lightest among all 3 variants.Coming to the features, this variant has body color variants, tinted glass, drive computer, Tachometer, power and tilt steering, Manual AC with filter and many safety features like ABS, EBD and BA with driver side airbag. However the model misses on steering mounted audio controls, power windows, chrome plated radiator grille, body color outside door mirror, rear defroster, passenger airbag, keyless entry, central lock and fog lamps. But with attractive black colored interior scheme, the variant looks appealing

        I have recently purchased the diesel version of Nissan Sunny and have to admit that it is completely worth the money. With a sporty and aggressive structure and design, this sedan has so many minuscule improvisations like a fresh tail lamp cluster that comes with rear turn indicator and reverse light. One of the best aspect for me has been its extravagant interior that comes with various entertainment equipment like a dashboard integrated audio system with facilities for MP3 player and USB. The car also comes with an effective air-conditioning system with climate control, power windows, remote central locking with key-less entry system and remote fuel lid opener. Various other cabin features include rear centre armrest with can holders, electrically adjustable Outside Rear View Mirrors(OVRMs), back seat air-conditioning vents and steering mounted buttons or controls. The engine performance can be improved, however it still delivers an optimum performance with a 1.5 litre 1500 cc diesel engine that can produce maximum power output of 100 bhp. In terms of pick up, this luxury sedan also needs a little improvement as the pickup is average. Nissan Sunny is priced a little expensive when compared to others models of its class, but it also comes with quality features and equipment.

        Hover Automotive India (Nissan India partner) and Ichibaan Nissan is fraud!! Hello all, I booked Nissan Sunny XV at Ichibaan Nissan Mumbai with Rs. 4,50,000/- as down payment and opted for car loan for the remainder amount from HDFC bank. My loan was approved but the bank did not disburse the amount to dealer stating that Ichibaan Nissan is a defaulter to loan taken from HDFC and hence they have blacklisted them. HDFC suggested me alternatives to get things sorted, (one of them being that the car be bought from ORION instead of Ichibaan). After this realization I started inquiring with the dealer and Hover Automotive India, asked them to transfer my booking to Orion, but they kept buying time to cause delay. I made many complaints on Nissan customer care, but the 72 hour deadline to address the complaint was never met. I finally had to send a legal notice to Hover Automotive India who looks after nissan India operations, they too seemed very laid back in their attitude to solve this problem. Finally things got clarified that the owner of ichibaan is also the director for Hover Automotive India, who has defaulted on a Rs.75 crore loan from HDFC when he was a HONDA dealer. One month had passed but Hover Automotive India did not make any effort to get my car, even today Ichibaan is having my money! I have finally canceled the booking since the parent company itself is a fraud, If they can cheat so openly while booking, one could only Imagine the after sales. It will be great if someone gives their suggestion or help me. Thanks
