      Yamaha reports a sales growth of 21 per cent in January 2015

      Yamaha Motors India, the domestic subsidiary of the Japanese automobile giant, recently registered a 21 per cent increase in its sales for the month of January 2015. During the period, the company sold 39,209 units, compared to 32,534 units delivered in the corresponding period last year, thereby showing a growth of almost 21 per cent.

      Yamaha entered the Indian market as 'India Yamaha Motor Private Limited' in 2008 as a joint venture with Mitsui. Yamaha is known for its bold and youth centric motorcycles that include the highly successful FZ16, FZ-S, Fazer and R15. The company has also been successful in coming up with good products in the commuter segment like the SZ-S and SZ-R.

      Yamaha Motor India Sales Vice-President (Sales & Marketing), Roy Kurian talked to the media about its sales performance and said that the growth they have been experiencing is a sign that their business strategies and beliefs are working fine. He added that the company is happy with the success of all their new launches and the innovative “customer connect programmes”. He mentioned that the auto maker is very optimistic about 2015 and that they are expecting to garner major sales. Sounding happy and optimistic about the company’s future, he told the media that Yamaha is eager to continue and even enhance its last year’s achievement in 2015 too.
