Yamaha R15, a popular choice among youngsters in India has been introduced in updated color options like – Sparky Green, Revving Blue and Adrenaline Red. Earlier, the company had offered the bike in two prices – Rs 1,14,241 and Rs 1,17,373. But this time around, Yamaha has decided to go for standard pricing of Rs 1,18.373.
The bike continues to be powered by 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with SOHC and FI system that generates about 16bhp at 8,500rpm and 15Nm of torque at about 7,500rpm. The bike continues to be mated to 6-speed gearbox. Weighing at 136kgs the bike comes with a wheelbase of about 1,345mm. It offers a decent ride quality with 800mm of saddle height, single hydraulic disc brake for the front and rear wheels, link-type monocross rear suspension and telescopic front fork.
