      Yamaha India going strong in India with 24% sales increase in August

      Brand Yamaha in India has often been associated with the performance oriented bikes in India. Recently, Yamaha has launched a fresh line of stylish FZ bikes that have been tuned to deliver better fuel efficiency figures that appeal to mileage conscious local audience needs. The company has been quite popular especially among the younger lot in the country.

      As per recent sales figures released by the company, Yamaha has reported about 24% increase in sales in August with about 53,242 vehicles reportedly being sold as against 42,995 vehicles noted in in same period last year. Speaking more on the impressive feat, Roy Kurian, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd Vice President (Sales & Marketing), “This month has seen only an extension of our continued success month after month. Our scooter offerings, especially 'Alpha', have been a catalyst in giving us good numbers in addition to our popular motorcycle lineup. We have a strong presence in the 150cc deluxe segment and our FZ series is the second largest selling brand in the deluxe segment. The launches of FZ Version 2.0 and FZ-S Version 2.0 have further spurred our sales.”

      In recent times Yamaha has also been strongly focusing on the automatic scooter segment. Apart from style, Yamaha two wheelers in India are known to deliver uncompromising quality and reliable engineered machines in India. Yamaha has also been positioning its bikes in the competitive segments with a lucrative price tag.
