      When there are a couple of bikes within the same segment with somewhat comparative looks, it is quite obvious that a competition will surge. After the launch of Suzuki Gixxer, the competition has heated up in the 150 cc segment. Hero Xtreme and Yamaha FZ are the closest competitors for Suzuki Gixxer. However, there are slight differences between the specifications of the bikes.

      Hero Xtreme is one of the most popular bikes of the leading manufacturer of India. This machine is powered by a 149 cc single cylinder engine with a chain type transmission. Maximum power output for this machine is 14.40 PS with a torque output of 12.80 Nm. The telescopic hydraulic type front and a rectangular rear suspension provide enough cushioning for the rider and the pillion even on bumpy roads. The stylish looks are major thumbs up for this bike. The on-road price of this bike is slated at 66275 INR (Delhi), which makes it quite affordable.

      The FZ is powered by an air-cooled, 4-stroke engine of 153 cc, which is capable of producing a power of 14 PS. The maximum torque produced from the mill is of 13.6 Nm with a manual transmission. With a telescopic front suspension and swing arm monocross back suspension, the bike is quite comfortable to ride. It is a tad higher than the Xtreme at slightly over 72000 INR.

      The recently launched Gixxer is powered by a 155 cc engine, which generates a power of 10.4 kW. Producing a torque of 14 Nm, the engine is mated with five-speed manual gearbox. The all-new Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) has been installed that makes it all the more better in respect of performance and fuel efficiency. The competition in the 150 cc segment is sure to get a major boost with the launch of this bike.
