Launched at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Yamaha Cygnus Alpha was intended specifically for the Indian market. The Japanese manufacturer has now launched a new disc brake equipped version at Rs 52,556 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) in two new colours.

The new scooter is equipped with a disc brake in the front. It is available in two new colours – Radiant Cyan and Marvel Black. These new colours are introduced along with the disc brake version to distinguish them from the normal drum brake version. Besides that, it uses the same air-cooled four-stroke 113cc engine with the continuous variable transmission. The scooter makes 7.10bhp and 810Nm of torque. The scooter gets a front telescopic suspension and an upright type suspension at the rear similar to the standard version.
