      World's first production-ready flying car, Pal-V Liberty unveiled at Geneva

      Flying to your destination will soon be a reality as Pal-V showcases the Liberty flying car at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The Pal-V Liberty Flying Car will be available in two variants - Sport and Pioneer. Currently, the company is in the process of obtaining final certification for the vehicle to make it road and air legal.

      Pre-bookings for the Pal-V Liberty flying car has commenced for an initial booking amount of $10,000. Prices are being handed out only on request. However, interested customers need to undergo appropriate aviation training with a legit pilot’s license. The vehicle’s design complies with road and air regulation in the US and Europe. The vehicle manages to climb altitude owing to a pair of Rotax aircraft engines. When on ground, the rotor blades are folded back and the three-wheels resets the ground clearance to suit regular road conditions. It takes only about five minutes to switch between modes.

      The two-seat vehicle cum aircraft has a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) capacity of 910 kg, baggage capacity of 20 kg and fuel capacity of 100 litres. The Pal-V Liberty is capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in about nine seconds and has a top speed of 160kmph. The vehicle can stay airborne for 500kms and has an endurance time limit of 4.3 hours. The Liberty has a maximum operating altitude of 3500m (3.5 km), while its needs a take-off distance of 330m and landing roll distance of 30m.
